OREANDA-NEWS. June 05, 2014. This matter was discussed at a meeting of Premiers of Moldova and Belarus Iurie Leanca and Mikhail Myasnikovich held in the framework of the their participation in the sitting of the CIS Council of Heads of Government in Minsk.

The Premiers discussed burning issues of the Moldovan-Belarusian shared agenda, including the outlook for more intensive trade- and- economic relations. Iurie Leanca thanked authorities of Belarus for support they gave and interest they showed to Moldovan commodities and noted Belarus was the 8th major trade partner of our country.

The Premier of Belarus emphasized both governments should take measures to ensure favourable environment for development of bilateral economic relations. Iurie Leanca welcomed the intention of Belarus to launch some mutually beneficial projects in Moldova.

As he said, Belarusian and Moldovan authorities of various levels, including the regional one, should always be in touch with each other. The Premiers also appreciated an active role Moldovans expats play in Belarus and the Belarusian expat community plays here, in Moldova.
