OREANDA-NEWS. Gazprombank together with its partner BOCI (Bank of China International) held their first joint investor conference in Hong Kong, focusing on the Asian-Russian opportunities in the oil and gas sector.

Participants and speakers included top management from Gazprom, Novatek, Gazpromneft, Lukoil, Sibur, the Moscow Exchange, Russian Grids, the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic, United Petrochemical Company as well as selected Chinese energy industry representatives. The participants provided perspective on benefits of new cooperation contracts between Chinese and Russian partners.

"We are proud to have been able to gather, jointly with BOCI, such a distinguished group of management teams in front of a large and attentive audience of investors from Hong Kong, China and the Asia-Pacific region. It is the right time for investors to consider value opportunities in Russia and for leading Russian oil and gas companies engaged in projects in Asia to explore financing options in the regional capital markets. I think we have achieved a milestone recently in terms of industrial cooperation and expansion strategy for the Russian energy sector in China and broader Asia and this event provided a good platform to discuss these developments and how relevant these could be for investors in the region", said Alexey Matveev, Deputy Chairman of Gazprombank.

Gazprombank has been present in China since 2006 with a representative office in Beijing and established this year a financial services company in Hong Kong, GPB Financial Services HK limited.
