OREANDA-NEWS. June 10, 2014. Interdepartmental working group led by Vice Minister of Agriculture Saparkhan Omarov arrived to Petropavlovsk.

Working group representatives will stay one day in the region. During this time, the Commission will try to assess the full investment potential of the region, particularly, in the processing of agricultural products. The meeting began with a meeting in Akimat with the head of the region Erik Sultanov.

"Our committee consists of representatives of various ministries. Our goal is to see all businesses of industrialization map clearly, to hear suggestions from the implementers of these projects," Vice Minister of Agriculture Saparkhan Omarov said.

Second Five-Year Plan, as Vice Minister noted, will be focused on regions of the country. Therefore, NKR is open to attract and implement new projects.

28 of 31 projects worth 26 billion tenge have been commissioned in the North Kazakhstan Region for the first five years of the national program of forced industrial-innovative development. 3.5 thousand new jobs have been created. Work of these companies allowed to produce products for 20 billion tenge, representing 13% of total industrial production last year only.

"This year, the share of projects increased to 14.6 in total volume of industrial production. This figure is constantly growing. Our plants have been successfully working with "Samruk Kazyna", "Kazakhstan Temir Zholy". Long-term contracts have been signed. This is all the result of the policy pursued by the head of state," Akim of North Kazakhstan Region Erik Sultanov informed.
This year, 2 projects from NKR worth nearly USD 1 billion have already been approved for inclusion in the regional map of industrialization. In the future, another 10-15 applications are being prepared for consideration.

"It was possible to increase the level of investment 2 times. Innovative activity increased by 4 times. The level of foreign investment made its first appearance. This is the result of industrialization map," Deputy Akim of the North Kazakhstan Region Erlan Aukenov assured.
