OREANDA-NEWS. In Moscow Slovenské elektràrne, subsidiary of the Enel Group and the largest power company in Slovakia, and Sberbank CIB, the corporate and investment business arm of the Sberbank Group, in cooperation with Sberbank International Business, Sberbank Slovensko, a.s. and Sberbank CZ, a.s., clinched a deal that provides Slovenské elektràrne with a dual currency term loan facility, worth EUR 870 million for 7.5 years.

The agreement was signed by Luca D'Agnese General Manager of Slovenské elektràrne and Herman Gref CEO and Chairman of the Board of Sberbank of Russia, Vladimir Solc  CEO of Sberbank CZ and Rastislav Murgas CEO of Sberbank Slovensko, a.s.

Commenting upon this deal, Luca D'Agnese, GM of Slovenské eléktrarne said ”The successful finalization of this agreement represents an important milestone to strengthen the Company's financial stability and to support our growth plans in Centrel region.“

The deal signed today follows the footsteps of the Memorandum of Understanding the two companies sealed at the St. Petersburg International Business Forum last 22nd May.

This credit facility adds up to a broader financing plan of Slovenské elektrárne, a.s. that sees the involvement of major financial institutions from America, Japan and Europe.
