OREANDA-NEWS. June 18, 2014. In June 2014 RUE Beltelecom is planning to take some measures aimed at minimizing of spam mailing originating in the territory of Belarus. This is due to a large amount of spam sent as a rule without the subscriber’s knowledge from infected computers.

In particular the possibility to send email messages via SMPT port 25 of email client will be blocked for the subscribers from whom there was registered spam distribution.

RUE Beltelecom is suggesting subscribers to check their computers for viruses and Trojans and in case of their detection to cure or delete such infected objects.

Should any problems occur when sending email messages, users of email clients (Outlook Express, The Bat, Thunderbird, etc.) are strongly recommended to specify in the mailer settings secure version of SMTP protocol (port 587 and 465), if these ports are supported by the existing mail server.

Owners of electronic mailboxes on such resources as gmail.com, mail.ru, etc. will not be affected by the above measures conducted by RUE Beltelecom.
