OREANDA-NEWS. June 19, 2014. Kazakhstan is to launch a new domestic airline, this has been announced today at a briefing in Central Communications Service by Minister of Transport and Communications Zhenis Kassymbek.

The airline, to be called Air Kazakhstan, will likely be based on a fleet of regional Bombardier planes.

"It is assumed that the new company will start operation in the second half of next year", said Z. Kassymbek.

According to him, the airline has being established in the framework of Kazakhstan President's instruction.

"In this regard, the Ministry is ready to provide full assistance in the establishment of the company", concluded the Minister.
