OREANDA-NEWS. Daimler Truck's best-selling truck 'Canter' is expanding its outreach with enhanced payload capacity. Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC) announced it has launched a new GVW 8.55-ton medium-duty truck in Turkey.

Based on the existing Canter light-duty technical platform, the truck achieves top-class payload capacity up to 6 tons without sacrificing any of the performance, compactness, and maneuverability expected out from the Canter.

"I am pleased that more customers will now enjoy the benefit of the Canter with the introduction of the 8.55-ton model," said Mr. Yasuyuki Sudo, MFTBC Director of Sales & Market Management of EMEA. "We have already launched this model in more than 20 markets and another 20 markets are very keen to having this model as soonest as possible. According to Mr. Sudo, the Canter 8.55-ton is designed to offer customers more cargo capacity without sacrificing the selection of the truck size.

"The all-new Canter medium-duty truck is exactly the best weight-lifter. Designed for optimum capacity without compromising on compactness or maneuverability, the new Canter sets the benchmark in offering customers a top-class payload in its weight class. The Canter continues to pave the way in the global trucking industry." The newly developed Canter is making its way in more than 40 countries around the globe. For the Turkish market, the new medium-duty trucks are locally assembled and distributed by TEMSA, MFTBC's partner since 1984.
