The Community Academy aims to provide supplementary education in English as well as offer personality development for the schoolchildren and rural youth. The program has been implemented in more than 80 schools across 50 panchayats. Tunda Vandh Panchayat (Mundra) supported the initiative and provided the premises for the classes.

Speaking on these initiatives, Mr K.K. Sharma, CEO and ED, CGPL, stated that, "At Tata Power we understand the significance of education for the development of the nation. Tata Power has constantly aimed to improve the education practices in the villages that surround our project areas. We firmly believe that imparting education and knowledge to a child creates a solid foundation that allows him to go out into the world and achieve his/her dreams. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the team and Tunda Vandh Panchayat (Mundra) for their support and participation."

Prior to initiating the program, Tata Power and the faculties of A LA Grand Academy conducted a systematic survey to gauge the needs and requirements of children and rural youth. Through the results of the survey, the company observed the need for English literacy and personality development amongst the target groups.

Trainees filled up registration forms, post which classes commenced at the academy. The classes are conducted through audio-visual lessons and graphical representation of information, where reading and writing practices as well as spoken English are encouraged. The sessions have been designed to educate through interactive and entertaining elements such as games, puzzles and exercises. Trainees have been divided into two groups, where Group 1 consisted of students from standard 1 to 10 and Group 2 consisted of students from standard 10 and the rest of the youth. The academy has designed and framed different curriculums for both the groups considering their level of education as well as understanding. Around 40 students were included in Group 1 and 25 students were included in Group 2.
