As it was informed in the National Bureau of Statistics, in April 2014, the volume of industrial production has decreased in comparison with April of the previous year by 3.9%. In January-April 2014, the production volumes in mining industry increased by 4.7%, in the processing industry increased by 7.7%.

According to NBS data, the enterprises on manufacture of food products and beverages increased the volumes of production by 17.6%. In particular, the production of vegetable and animal oils and fats grew by 3.8 times. Production, processing and preserving of meat and meat products increased by 16.8%, production of non-alcoholic, soft drinks, mineral water - by 16.5%.

The increase in processing and preserving of fish, crustaceans and mollusks amounted to 9.7%. The volume of processing and canning of fruit and vegetables increased by 6.7%, dairy products - by 6.1%, cocoa, chocolate and sugar confectionery products - by 3.4%. At the same time, the volume of wine production decreased by 25.9%, alcoholic drinks - by 13%, products of milling industry, and starch products - by 3.8%, flour and grains- by 9.7%, bread and bakery products - by 3.4%, bread and fresh confectionery - by 2.8%, pasta, noodles and other bakery products - by 1%.

According to NBS, in January-April 2014, the production of computers, electronic and optical products has increased by 2.4 times. Processing of wood and manufacture of products of wood and cork, except for furniture; manufacture of articles of straw and other plant materials for fences increased by 28%, manufacture of textiles - by 20.1%, clothes - by 14.8%, chemicals and chemical products - by 9.4%, pharmaceutical products - by 6.7%, paper and cardboard - by 4.2%. The steel industry output grew by 1,1%.

Furniture production increased by 0.5%. At the same time, in January-April 2014 manufacture of tobacco products decreased by 45.1%, machinery and equipment by 21.9%, footwear - by 18.1%.

Tanning and dressing of leather; manufacture of Luggage, handbags, dressing and dyeing of furs declined by 15.8%, production of electrical equipment- by 10.6%. Production of rubber and plastic products declined by 0.2%. The energy sector registered a decline of 7.4%. In particular, the supply of steam and hot water supply decreased by 9,9%, production and distribution of electricity - by 6.4%, respectively.
