OREANDA-NEWS. June 25, 2014. During the 17th China (Chongqing) International Investment and Global Sourcing Fair (“CCISF”) held lately, Bank of China Chongqing Branch moved into the venue of the fair and provided “one-to-one” financial services to the fair participants, from cash withdrawal, foreign currency exchange, to international remittance, traveler’s check, and e-banking. Meanwhile, by leveraging its strength in domestic and overseas institutional coordination, BOC vigorously promoted projects along the “Chongqing-Xinjiang-Europe” rail line to fully meet the financial needs of customers.

At the international economic and trade cooperation forum themed “jointly building the Silk Road and enjoying the benefits of the ‘Chongqing-Xinjiang-Europe’ economic belt” held during the CCISF, Russia Branch, Poland Branch and Frankfurt Branch of BOC respectively introduced and promoted the trade financing products and services of the Bank to multinational logistics and trading enterprises, and demonstrated the aspiration and strengths of the Bank to contribute to the development of the Silk Road economic belt and promote economic and trade cooperation with countries along the rail line. As regards the freight transport needs of clients along the “Chongqing-Xinjiang-Europe” rail line, BOC will assist clients to actively seek freight sources for return trips, promote two-way trade flows, and enhance the comprehensive operating revenue of the rail line.

The “Chongqing-Xinjiang-Europe” international railway transportation channel, around 11,179 kilometers long, starts from Chongqing and traverses Shaanxi, Gansu and Xinjiang in China, and then Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus, Poland and Germany. The “Chongqing-Xinjiang-Europe” economic belt is expected to become a major prop of the Yangtze River economic belt and the Silk Road economic belt.
