OREANDA-NEWS. June 26, 2014. The Government of Kazakhstan has approved the privatization plan for 2014-2016, according to Vice Prime Minister - Minister of Finance of Kazakhstan Bakhyt Sultanov.

"The comprehensive privatization plan for 2014-2016 and the list of subjects of quasipublic sector that are to be transferred to a private one have been approved today. In general, we are planning to transfer 782 organizations to competitive environment. In addition, 380 organizations will be reorganized or dissolved," Minister Sultanov noted at a press conference in Astana.

In his words, special commissions have been set up to this end. Representatives of the Nur Otan Party included into those commissions will ensure transparency and publicity of the privatization process. "This year 278 out of 782 organizations will be privatized," B. Sultanov added.
