OREANDA-NEWS. Ingosstrakh Insurance Company in Rostov-on-Don concluded a contract of compulsory insurance liability of an owner of hazardous facilities for injuries and damage caused by an accident at the hazardous facility (OS OPO) with Zheldorremmash OJSC, a company that performs a full range of services to extend the service life period of rail transport. The total limit of liability under the insurance agreements has amounted to RUB 155 m.

Pursuant to the terms of the agreements, insurance protection is provided for facilities that are classified as hazardous pursuant to the effective legislation and are subject to compulsory insurance. The insurance program provides compensation for the damage caused to life, health, and property of the victims of an accident at a hazardous facility, including company's employees. In accordance with the effective legislation, limit of insurance indemnity for damages to life and health of each victim is up to RUB 2 m.

The duty of owners of dangerous facilities to insure their liability to third parties is governed by Federal Law (No. 225-FZ as of July 27, 2010). New rules of compulsory insurance of dangerous objects are in force since January 1, 2012 for commercial organizations and January 1, 2013, for state-owned organizations.

Ingosstrakh Insurance Company has 17 years of experience in civil liability insurance of organizations operating hazardous production facilities within the framework of effective legislation and is a member of the National Union of Liability Insurers (NULI). During the two and a half years that the Federal Law No. 225 as of July 27, 2010 has been in force, Ingosstrakh Insurance Company has insured more than 45,284 hazardous objects providing policyholders with secure protection against unexpected expenses in case of emergency at industrial facilities.

Today, it is a member of TMH-Service group of companies managed by Locomotive Technology LLC. The company employs over 23,000 people. Its organizational structure includes its executive office and 11 branches that provide coverage of the entire territory of the Russian Federation. The company provides light and general locomotives overhauls, services rolling stock, upgrades locomotives, and extends their serviceable life, repairs components and assemblies, develops new repair technologies, implements complex reconstruction and technical modernization projects, and manufactures spare parts.
