OREANDA-NEWS. The Luxembourgish airfreight company Cargolux is extending its flights programme via Novosibirsk Tolmachevo Airport when operating flights from Zhengzhou (China) to Luxembourg.

Starting from 14th June, the number of tech stops performed by the airline via Novosibirsk airport for refueling increases by two up to 16 weekly flights.

Engagement of the new freight carriers to operate technical stops via Novosibirsk stands for one of the key objectives of the airport development strategy. Positioned at the intersection of the major Trans-Eurasian routes, the airport is able to handle transit cargo flows thanks to its favorable geographical location. Furthermore, technical stops on this route enable air carriers to reduce fuel costs and increase aircraft payload.

Airport Tolmachevo JSC and Cargolux Airlines International S.A. are considering the possibility of further cooperation between their companies.
