OREANDA-NEWS. UniCredit Bank continues to steadily increase the volume and the number of cashless payments by payment cards.

During 2013 the number of non-cash payments by UniCredit Bank cards increased by 32%, while the volume of payments increased by 28%. Already in I quarter of 2014, which was characterized by extreme economic and political instability, the volume of cashless payments was increased by 10%.

To support the development of the banking system as a whole and the direction of non-cash payments in particular, UniCredit Bank together with international payment systems Visa and MasterCard for more than eight months have been daily raffling 2 prizes of UAH 500 among its customers, and have already presented four tourist trips.

Anton Borozdin, Head of the Mass Market Segment in UniCredit Bank, said: "The main purpose of this initiative for UniCredit Bank is the development of economic literacy among people. By this we try to get clients accustomed to cashless payments, as they are convenient and fast. And which is most important - each non-cash payment by payment card is a personal contribution to the struggle against the shadow economy in our country. It should also be noted that given the popularity of promotional programs for our clients, it was decided to continue such initiatives. Starting from July 1 UniCredit Bank is launching a new campaign in support of non-cash payments and promises even more interesting gifts and new exciting journeys!"
