OREANDA-NEWS. The World Petroleum Congress (WPC) took place in the Crocus Expo Moscow Expo Centre from 16 till 19 of June.

Over 5 thousands of delegates from 90 countries took part in it, including representatives of the major world companies such as ExxonMobil, Shell, Chevron, Total, Statoil, ENI, Petrobras, CNPC, Saudi Aramco, Qatar Petroleum and Kuwait Petroleum. Our country was represented by the main oil and gas companies, namely Gazprom, Rosneft, Gazpromneft, Transneft, Lukoil, Bashneft, Surgutneftegaz, Tatneft, Novatek and others. Alexander Novak, Minister of Energy of the RF, delivered a speech at the Congress. The following issues were discussed in the course of the event: global energy, oil production, perspectives on alternative energy sources development, value of LNG for Russia, etc.

The Congress also incorporated the World Petroleum Exhibition, being called as the largest exhibition ever. Over thousands of companies represented their products within the venue of 30 000 sqm. Upstream, downstream and construction companies as well as equipment producers put their latest developments and technologies on display. Thus, guests of the exhibition could see actually a comprehensive picture of industry achievements. The participation of LLC "STROYGAZMONTAZH" in such event is one more step on the way to strengthening its reputation within petroleum community.
