OREANDA-NEWS. Uralhimmash shop № 40 dispatched V-701 deaerator produced for Akron, an enterprise located in Veliky Novgorod. V-701 deaerator is a unit designed for boiler feedwater treatment. The equipment will be installed at Ammiak-4 plant, one of the major investment projects carried out by Akron.

A special transporter delivered the deaerator to the customer.

The equipment consists of two parts. The main horizontal part is 17.16m long; the height of the vertical part is 6.21m. The weight of the deaerator in the as-delivered condition is 74.5 tonnes, its inside diameter is 4.4 m, wall thickness - 22 mm.

09G2S grade carbon steel was used to produce the horizontal part, while the vertical part is made of stainless steel.

Akron is currently implementing a large-scale Ammiak-4 project - a construction of a new ammonia plant with 700,000 tonnes of annual output. Uralhimmash is one of the equipment suppliers taking part in the project. In line with the contract Uralhimmash has produced 15 units of equipment, most of which have already been delivered to the customer.

Uralhimmash has a long-standing partnership with Akron. The company produced four batches of liquid ammonia heaters for its partner in 2007. In 2009, Uralhimmash produced a methanol synthesis reactor, another four batches of liquid ammonia heaters and other similar reactor equipment for Akron enterprises.

Uralhimmash is certified to manufacture high-pressure vessels as required by the ASME Code (Section VIII, Division 1, Stamp U). In April 2011 Uralhimmash has successfully passed an audit for expansion of the certification area under the ASME Code (Section VIII, Division 2, stamp U2).
