OREANDA-NEWS. PhosAgro (Moscow Exchange, LSE: PHOR), a leading global vertically integrated phosphate-based fertilizer producer, announces that its subsidiary PhosAgro-Cherepovets won the Best Russian Exporter award in the Best Chemicals Sector Exporter (Fertilizers) nomination for 2013

The Best Russian Exporter competition is held by the Ministry of Industry and Trade in order to support the export of industrial products, to help domestic exporters and to create mechanisms to support export. The competition leaders are chosen by the Department of Foreign Economic Relations of the Ministry of Industry and Trade using a scoring system based on export reports. The awards ceremony will be held on 10 July 2014.

PhosAgro-Cherepovets's high export volumes are a result of PhosAgro's strategy to improve output quality and expand its product assortment, while complying with the strictest international quality standards, across all of its enterprises. In addition to the priority markets of Russia and the CIS, where PhosAgro has increased shipments 1.5-fold over the last three years to a record 1.7 million tonnes in 2013, the Company's products are imported by 100 countries worldwide. PhosAgro's product assortment, which has also increased more than 1.5-fold over the last three years, now consist of 25 different grades of fertilizer.

PhosAgro continues to implement a large-scale investment programme aimed at increasing its competitive position by modernising existing and building new mining, beneficiation and processing capacities. Total investments over the last three years equalled nearly RUB 50 billion. Over the next three years, PhosAgro-Cherepovets plans to build a new high-tech ammonia line with a capacity of 760 thousand tonnes per year, and to complete projects related to the processing of ammonia that will allow PhosAgro to increase its fertilizer production capacities by 25%.
