OREANDA-NEWS. Kavkazcement JSC, which is part of EUROCEMENT Group, was declared the winner of the 2013 annual republic-wide competition “Best Insurer in Mandatory Pension Insurance” organised by the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation. The plant was awarded a Diploma as “The Best Insurer of the Year”.

The key target of the competition is to raise employers' social responsibility and their involvement in the process of increasing their employees' future pension amounts. Kavkazcement has been demonstrating punctuality with respect to payment of insurance premiums to the pension system, as well as to submission of documents containing personal records and records of insurance premiums payment by its employees.

On May 26, 2014, the Russian Entrepreneurship Day, an award ceremony was held at the Karachaevo-Cherkessian department of the Pension Fund of Russia. Out of more than 22,000 insurers on the register in Karachaevo-Cherkessia 57 contenders from 4 categories vied for victory. Kavkazcement was declared winner in its category. Director General of Kavkazcement, Vladimir Stepanov, received the honorary diploma from deputy head of the Russian Pension Fund's Karachay-Cherkessia department Irina Gololobova.

EUROCEMENT Group (one of the world's TOP-10 largest cement manufacturers, leader of the construction material industry in the CIS) owns 16 cement plants in Russia, Ukraine and Uzbekistan, as well as plants producing concrete and reinforced concrete products, nonmetallic mining sites and industrial construction companies.

The production capacity of the Holding Company entities is 40.0 million tonnes of cement and 10 million m3 of concrete. The reserves of aggregates related to carbonate rock extraction with the total actual reserves are more than 2.8 billion tonnes; the extraction of granite with reserves, about 1.8 billion tonnes.

EUROCEMENT Group is implementing an unprecedented project in the construction of new cement-production facilities using the environmentally friendly and sustainable dry production process on the Russian territory. The implementation of this project will enable the Holding to increase the share of cement produced using the dry process, bringing it to 100% by 2018.

In December 2012, EUROCEMENT Group commissioned a new plant using the dry cement production process in the Voronezh Region, designed to produce 3 million tonnes of cement per year.
