OREANDA-NEWS. Construction kicked off on a 6,000-mu (400-hectare) industrial park for intelligent voice in Hefei, capital of East China's Anhui province, on June 28.

The move marked the emergence of another hi-tech industrial cluster with an annual output of 100 billion yuan (USD 16.4 billion) from the inland province.

Backed by Anhui USTC iFlytek Co.'s long tradition of research into intelligent voice technologies, the park aims to attract more than 500 companies specializing in research on and application of those state-of-the-art technologies within five years, and seeks to grow into China's top intelligent voice industrial park. It has a more ambitious plan that its yearly output will reach 100 billion yuan in 2024.
