OREANDA-NEWS. JSC Atomredmetzoloto posted on its official website the 2013 Public Annual Report (the Report), which became the sixth such report for the Company.

In an integrated format, the Report features operational, financial and non-financial performance indicators, which provide a comprehensive picture of the Company’s activities, including in such areas as sustainable development; environmental impact; economic aspects of business operations and social policy, in particular, in the Company presence regions.

A distinguishing feature of the Report is the fact that for the first time, it has been prepared under the latest international reporting standards – the 1.0 version of the IIRC International Integrated Reporting Standard and the main G4 version of the GRI Sustainability Reporting Guidelines.
In compliance with these standards, requiring that only relevant information is to be disclosed in the Report, a questionnaire survey was conducted among stakeholder representatives in order to assess relevance of various aspects of data on the Company’s performance and sustainable development. The questionnaire comprised a general list of topics considered as potentially important for disclosure in the Report, which were selected taking into account recommendations set forth in the GRI Guidelines and the Public Reporting Standards of the ROSATOM State Atomic Energy Corporation, as well as opinion of the Company’s management.

By means of this questionnaire, the most significant aspects of the Company’s performance were revealed. This once again proves JSC Atomredmetzoloto openness and commitment to maintain an efficient dialogue with the community and all stakeholders regarding different lines of the Company’s activities.

A major difference of the 2013 Report consists in including brief reports on JSC RUSBURMASH and JSC VNIPIpromtechnologii performance as special sections because of diversification of these companies’ operations. Data on key competencies and development prospects have been brought to attention of their stakeholders.

A special attention in the Report has been paid to restructurization of the ROSATOM State Atomic Energy Corporation assets in the uranium mining segment in 2013. In its further operations, JSC Atomredmetzoloto will focus on developing Rosatom’s uranium assets in Russia.   Uranium One Holding N.V. is in charge of managing front end of nuclear fuel cycle of the ROSATOM State Atomic Energy Corporation’s uranium assets located abroad. Therefore, the 2013 Report discloses production and resource base data with respect to both Russian and foreign assets, while the development strategy and prospects are only provided for Russian assets. In subsequent reports, information will be consolidated within the network operated by ARMZ Uranium Holding Co.

In view of the above, relevant issues of the Report include:
- structural adjustments in the mining arm of ROSATOM State Atomic Energy Corporation, enhancing efficiency in Russia’s part of the mining arm;
- major production results following the year-end.

The Annual Report has been prepared by a large team of experts from JSC Atomredmetzoloto in accordance with the Russian and international public reporting standards and recommendations. In the course of the preparatory work, representatives of a wide circle of stakeholders were engaged in the Report-related discussions; these involved representatives from state authorities, regulatory bodies, public and environmental organizations, business partners and mass media.
