OREANDA-NEWS.  July 03, 2014. Upon average, Sweden is going to provide Moldova with about EUR 14 million a year, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova says.

In 2011-2014, Funds provided by Sweden were allotted to implementation of projects in such areas as democracy, human rights, gender equality, sustainable infrastructure, market development, fight against corruption, and others.

During a meeting between Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sweden Carl Bildt and Foreign Minister of Moldova Natalia Gherman, the former congratulated Moldova on the signing of the Association and DCFTA agreements with the EU. Let’s remind that the purpose of Sweden’s Foreign Minister’s visit to Moldova constituted in showing Sweden’s support to Moldova’s pro-European aspirations and reforms after the signing of the Association and DCFTA agreements, which took place on June 27.

During his visit, the official held meetings with Moldova’s Premier Iurie Leanca, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration and leaders of the ruling coalition.
