OREANDA-NEWS. July 08, 2014. The recognition of TUT has grown 8 % in one year, reaching 65 %, which is the highest growth in recognition among Estonian universities.

51 % of Estonians consider TUT the most prominent university in Estonia. TUT is the only university with a stable growth in recognition over the past 5 years with an average of 3 % per year.

“The objective of TUT is to be one of the leading universities of technology in Northern Europe. Our aim is to be the MIT and Stanford of our region. The University’s reputation, quality, and services of teaching and research and development are in a correlational relationship," said the member of TUT management, Heiki Lemba.

The reputation of TUT has grown in many segments, especially among young people. Young people’s view on the quality of TUT education has rocketed and landed on the same level with University of Tartu. The support of TUT in South Estonia is also remarkable, where compared to 2013 it has increased 63 %.

In April and May 2014, TNS Emor conducted the study on the reputation of Estonian universities. 1 000 people between 15-74 years participated.
