OREANDA-NEWS. July 08, 2014. An annual traditional summit of the Republic oil companies' management with the participation of Rustam Minnikhanov, President of the Republic of Tatarstan, was held.

The oil forum was attended by Ildar Khalikov, Prime Minister of Tatarstan, Kirill Molodtsov, Deputy Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation, Farid Mukhametshin, State Council Chairman, top management  and professionals of JSC TATNEFT, headed by Nail Maganov, General Director of JSC TATNEFT, heads of, oil refining and independent oil companies of the Republic, associated companies, territorial offices of federal agencies, heads of cities and regions of the oil region of the Republic of Tatarstan, officials of the Presidential Administration and the Government Office of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Prior to the event, the participants had visited the exhibition of advanced technologies provided by JSC TATNEFT, JSC "RITEK", "TD InTekh" and the Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University.

The extensive exposition of TATNEFT covered technical and economical and operational performance of the Company, as well as new technologies of horizontal wells construction.
The exhibits demonstrated specifics of extra-viscous oil field development, included new technologies and equipment used in the development of extra-viscous oil fields, process flow sheet of produced water treatment at Ashalchinskoye EVO field, extra-viscous oil treatment technologies, etc.

The stages of the "TANECO" Refining and Petrochemical Plants Complex construction project were also clearly demonstrated, which currently provides for commercial production of the cleaner Euro-5 standard diesel fuel and in the coming years, the retail sales network of JSC TATNEFT will be fully provided with the own oil products.

The plans provide for the start of the run-down distillation when the Complex is commissioned in its final configuration.

Nail Maganov, General Director of the Company, presented a report on the activities of JSC TATNEFT in the first half of 2014 at the plenary part of the event. The Oil and Gas Production Boards of JSC TATNEFT produced 12 million 986 thousand tons of crude oil in the first half of the current year in accordance with the plan, accounting for 54 thousand tons increase versus the same period of the last year. The amount of 106.8 thousand tons of extra-viscous oil was produced at Ashalchinskoye field with the total daily production by the end of six months' period reaching 675 tons per day.

According to Nail Maganov the Company applies a wide range of advanced technologies in the area of drilling and repair of horizontal wells, downhole splitters, lateral horizontal wells and sidetracks to meet the strategic objective of stabilizing crude oil production. Application of technological innovations allows the Joint Stock Company starting production of the previously inaccessible reserves of hydrocarbon raw materials, using the drilled wells stock more efficiently.

The General Director of JSC TATNEFT dwelled in his speech on the results of the "TANECO" project implementation. A major achievement for the Company was increasing the primary refining throughput to 8 million tons per year. More than 4 million tons of crude oil were processed during the 1st half of this year. The figure for the entire period of operation amounted to about 21 million tons of oil.

The processing depth was increased to 74.5 percent. The volume of processed crude oil will increase to 8.5 million tons by the end of the current year. The Company also plans to begin production of high index base oils that will allow producing commercial oils for cars and industrial equipment. The next stage of the Complex development will be construction of a deep crude oil processing plant, which will include  catalytic cracking, catalytic reforming, isomerization and delayed coking installations.

Nail Maganov pointed out in his speech that in the current economic conditions the utmost attention is paid by the Company's management to increasing the efficiency of the TATNEFT Group activities, growth of labor productivity, application of project and process management methods and the "lean production" system.

A report on the results of small oil companies' activities of the Republic of Tatarstan   in the first half of 2014 was presented at the meeting by Fanis Valeev, General Director of CJSC "Neftekonsortsium".

Urgent problems of crude oil production are being solved today using the scientific potential of the Republic. The participants of the event were provided the information about updating the "Program of development of the fuel and energy complex of the Republic of Tatarstan for 2006-2020" with regard to crude oil exploration and production. It was presented by Renat Muslimov, Consultant to President of the Republic of Tatarstan on   development of oil and gas fields.
At the summit there were also reports on implementation of new technologies in wells construction and on development and introduction of new technologies to enhance crude oil recovery presented by Rinat Shafigullin, Director of "Tatburneft" Management Company, and Ayrat Zakirov, Director of "Tatneft-RemServis" Management Company, respectively.
During the meeting Nakip Gatiyatullin, Head of the Tatarstan Central Committee for solid mineral deposits development of Rosnedra, said about the results of executing control over the small oil companies complying with project documentation.

Rustam Minnikhanov, President of the Republic of Tatarstan, addressed the oil forum with closing remarks. President conferred state awards of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tatarstan for labor achievements and many years of diligent work to quite a number of the oil industry best representatives in Tatarstan

The Tatarstan summit once again became an effective platform for exchange of experience in implementing high-performance technologies, discussing current issues and future prospects of the oil production development in the Republic. The participants discussed urgent issues of high performance crude oil production technologies application by the oil companies of the Republic.
