OREANDA-NEWS. Representatives of KAMAZ took part in the fifth Russian-Azerbaijani Interregional Forum – Interregional Cooperation: New Opportunities for Growth – which came to an end in Gabala yesterday.
The event was organized by the Ministry of Regional Development of Russia and the Ministry of Economy and Industry of Azerbaijan. The forum was attended by about 700 representatives of bodies of power and business circles of Russia and Azerbaijan. Many discussions and round table meetings, several business meetings with entrepreneurs of both countries resulted in 11 signed memorandums and agreements on cooperation.
KAMAZ and the Republic of Ingushetia signed a cooperation agreement at the interregional forum to expand the use of gas as a vehicle fuel. The document was signed by Ruslan Ziatdinov, Director of NGV Sales of KAMAZ FINANCE AND TRADING COMPANY, and Yusup Zurabov, Minister of Economic Development of Ingushetia.
NGV production is one of KAMAZ’s core activities. The company launched mass production of more than 30 models of such vehicles, including a wide range of special trucks for municipal services, and 5 bus models. Besides, it is developing an NGV service network: 24 service centers are ready to operate. KAMAZ sold 260 and 600 NGVs in 2012 and 2013, respectively, and it is planned to sell 1,400 units in 2014.
