OREANDA-NEWS. A new noticeboard is helping keep the residents of Dunford Bridge posted with all the latest on village life.

The new board was commissioned and installed by National Grid and its contractors JSM who are working to decommission the Victorian Woodhead rail tunnels which run between Derbyshire and South Yorkshire.

The donation was welcomed by Sue Sykes, Dunford Bridge Parish Councillor who says that the new noticeboard will be useful for displaying notes from parish council meetings.

Sue said: "This is a really great way to keep everyone updated about local issues and I hope our residents will use it as much as possible."

Graham Horrocks, National Grid project engineer said: "We're delighted that we've been able to put up this new noticeboard and hope that it will make a useful contribution to village life for many years to come."
