OREANDA-NEWS. Trubodetal (Trubodetal Open Joint Stock Company, based in Chelyabinsk, part of United Metallurgical Company, OMK CJSC, Moscow) has summed up the results of the annual "Straight-A Student's Daybook" contest, which is held among students in the Novosineglazovsky settlement and the factory staff's children.

Students studying in Classes 1 through 11 who only got "A" and "B" marks during the entire school year and who were active in social, cultural, athletic, and scientific life, can take part in the contest. The winners are awarded in three categories: "Best Primary School Student" (Classes 2-4), "Best Main School Student" (Classes 5-9), and "Best Senior School Student" (Classes 10-11). This year's winners were Evelina Salmanova (Class 4, School #145), Maria Somova (Class 7, School #145), and Maria Popova (Class 11, Classic School #80). The winners got tablet computers from Trubodetal.

"The best representatives of the young generation are becoming more advanced, ambitious and multi-talented with each passing year," says Andrey Korotkov, Trubodetal's Managing Director. "They have time for everything; almost all participants are high achievers in various areas simultaneously: sports, social life, and science. This is what we pay attention to when determining the winners, and of course, we zoom in on the grades."
