KAMAZ Takes Part at Innoprom 2014
OREANDA-NEWS. OJSC KAMAZ is participating in the Innoprom 2014 Ural International Exhibition taking place in Yekaterinburg from the 9th to the 12th of July 2014.
Year by year, the urgency of using alternative fuels instead of petrol and diesel in commercial vehicles meets with ever warmer approval in the world. This year, OJSC KAMAZ presents the KAMAZ-4911 model with a gas engine from OJSC KAMAZ’s distributor – OOO RariTEK.
The leader of the Russian truck industry has been developing advanced KAMAZ models running on compressed natural gas – methane – for years. This model of the KAMAZ-4911 sports vehicle demonstrates opportunities of using natural gas as a motor fuel instead of traditional ones – petrol and diesel. The sports car is equipped with the Euro4 300hp KAMAZ-820.73 gas engine and the ZF 16S251 gearbox, and can gather speed of up to 165 km per hour. The vehicle took part in the motor race Naberezhnye Chelny – Simferopol to promote gas motor fuel in Russia and celebrate the 45th anniversary of OJSC KAMAZ, and covered almost 6,000 km with other participants.
