OREANDA-NEWS. The instruments used by Belarusian government to support farm production, which producing a distorting effect on retail trade, account for 8.7% of the gross value of agricultural goods produced (ceiling - 15%), the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) said in a release.

The EEC Board approved reports illustrating how Customs Union member states implement the agreement on government support for farm production in 2012. The documents were forwarded to the governments of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan.

The reports analyze basic trends in farm production and the instruments used by governments in support of farm production. The reports indicate that Kazakhstan government's support for farm production accounts for 3.4% of the gross value of agricultural goods produced (ceiling - 10%), Russia - 1.8% (2.7%). Hence, CU states comply with the terms of the agreement.
