OREANDA-NEWS. Maximum selling prices of fresh eggs and bakery goods (with fat and sugar content below 14%) are no longer controlled by the government in Belarus, in accordance with a relevant resolution adopted by the Cabinet of Ministers on June 26, 2014.

At the same time, the Economy Ministry is still authorized to adjust maximum retail markups on bread (15%) and eggs (20%).

As previously reported, Belarus' Government cancelled control over ceiling retail prices of certain kinds of meat on March 31, 2014. The move was prompted by losses resulting from sales of carcasses.
