OREANDA-NEWS. July 15, 2014. Vice President Huang Dan of MCC conducted a visit to Beijing Office of China Guangdong Nuclear Power Holding Corporation (CGN Group), and met with Tan Jiansheng, Member of CPC Committee & Vice President of CGN Group. Both parties undertook in-depth communication on cooperative matters in the fields of engineering contracting, clean energy, equipment manufacturing and overseas mining development. Respectively on behalf of each party, Vice President Huang Dan of MCC and Vice President Tan Jiansheng of CGN Group signed the Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement.

Tan Jiansheng extended warm welcome to Vice President Huang Dan and her delegation members. Then he made a briefing on the current situation and development planning of the various businesses such as: (i) construction, operation and service of nuclear power works; (ii) development of uranium resources; (iii) emerging non-nuclear energy; (iv) development of offshore island; and (v) financial service. According to Tan, the collaboration between CGN Group and MCC Group is established basing upon the actual project implementation carried out by subsidiaries of both parties. Being promoted in a bottom-up approach, this kind of cooperation is a practical one with firm foundation, which could be continuously pushed forward. Tan expected both parties to undertake further discussion on cooperative method, carry out regular communication and view-exchange, actively expand the cooperative scope and depth, and eventually promote the scientific development of both parties

Huang Dan expressed gratitude to Vice President Tan Jiansheng of CGN Group for his hospitality, and gave a brief introduction to the history and the current development situation of MCC Group. Huang added that, the collaboration between MCC Group and CGN Group will make the respective advantages complementary to each other on a win-win basis. In a conscientious and responsible manner, MCC Group will provide the top-grade products and works for CGN Group. In the new cooperative fields, both parties will actively explore the new collaborative methods and expand the cooperation scope, with the aim to promote common development. Huang Dan expected both parties to further strengthen communication and view-exchange, enhance the friendly partnership, and carry out wide cooperation in the fields of engineering contracting, clean energy, equipment manufacturing and overseas mining development.

During the meeting, both parties held in-depth discussion on the cooperative issues on real estate development, housing industrialization, safety inspection and maintenance of nuclear construction works, R&D of new materials, sea water desalination, island development, new energy of solar power and wind power, as well as treatment of garbage and sewage.
After the meeting, Huang Dan and Tan Jiansheng signed the Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement respectively on behalf of each party.

The relevant heads and staff attended the meeting and the signing ceremony.
