OREANDA-NEWS. Russian Helicopters, a subsidiary of Oboronprom, part of State Corporation Rostec, will showcase the latest Russian-built commercial and military helicopters at the Farnborough International Airshow from 14-20 July. The Company's display can be found at stand 1/E10.

At the airshow, Russian Helicopters will present the medium coaxial Ka-32A11BC, which can fly a range of special missions and is an effective tool in fighting fires, including in high-rise buildings, and rescue missions. The Ka-32A11BC holds EASA type certificatе and operates successfully in Austria, Switzerland, Portugal, Spain, Canada, Azerbaijan, Brazil, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, China, Russia, South Korea and Japan.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to find out more about another new Russian model, the Mi-171A2, the latest addition to the Mi-8/17 series and using advanced technologies and materials. This helicopter will be fitted with an upgraded power plant, new main rotor system and advanced avionics, all of which will significantly increase its capabilities and economic efficiency in operation.

Russian Helicopters jointly with Rosoboronexport (part of Rostec) will brief potential partners and visitors to the show on the latest combat and military transport helicopters. Russian-built combat helicopters are among the best in the world. On display at Farnborough will be the Ka-52 Alligator, the Mi-28NE Night Hunter and the Mi-35M. The Alligator made its international debut last year at the 50th Paris Air Show at Le Bourget, producing a great impression with a demonstration flight executed by an experienced crew.

The Mi-28NE Night Hunter is the export version of the Mi-28N, which recently officially joined the ranks of the Russian Defence Ministry. The Night Hunter sets today's standards for combat helicopters, and is receiving interest from potential customers in a number of countries.

Russian Helicopters and Rosoboronexport will also hold a joint presentation of the Ansat-U training helicopter. The Ansat-U is a fly-by-wire helicopter that can be customised for different types of helicopters and can model various in-flight situations. State testing of the Ansat-U in Russia was completed in 2008, and since 2009 the helicopter has been in serial production and supplied to the Defence Ministry's training centre.

Also at Farnborough will be presented two well-known military transport helicopters from the Mi-8/17 series: the Mi-17V-5 and Mi-171Sh.

Farnborough is one of the world's leading airshows, and is held every two years in the Hampshire town of the same name near London. Exhibitors at the show demonstrate aerospace equipment and technology, aircraft of all types and designation, engines for aircraft and spacecraft, satellites and spacecraft, aerospace components and materials, airport equipment, weaponry, avionics and ground equipment, radar and observation equipment. The programme includes flight displays.
