OREANDA-NEWS. July 16, 2014. As it was informed in the National Bureau of statistics, in May 2014 the volume of industrial production increased in comparison with May of the last year by 6.6%. In general, in January-May 2014, production volumes in the mining industry increased by 4.1%, in processing industry - by 7.6%.

According to the NBS data, the enterprises on manufacture of food products and beverages increased the volumes of production by 18.2%. In particular, manufacture of vegetable and animal oils and fats grew by 4.1 times. The volume of processing and canning of fruit and vegetables increased by 19.9%, production, processing and preserving of meat and meat products increased by 17.9%, manufacture of cocoa, chocolate and sugar confectionery products - 9.6% a, and dairy products - by 7.3%.

The increase in processing and preserving of fish, crustaceans and mollusks reached 8.5%. At the same time, the volume of wine production - by 26.4%, alcoholic drinks - by 15.8%, products of the milling industry, of starches and starch products - 13.8%, pasta, noodles and other bakery products - by 5.5%, bread, cakes and fresh confectionery products - by 1.9%, non-alcoholic, soft drinks, mineral water – decreased by 1%.

According to the NBS, in January-May 2014, the production of computers, electronic and optical products grew by 73,9%. Processing of wood and manufacture of products of wood and cork, except furniture; manufacture of articles of straw and other vegetable plaiting materials increased by 31.7%, chemicals and chemical products - by 24%, textile articles - by 20%, clothes - by 13.2%, paper and cardboard - by 6.2%, machinery and equipment by 5.7%, furniture - by 4.4%. The growth in metallurgical industry made up 6.6%.

At the same time, in January-May 2014 manufacture of tobacco products decreased by 39.8%, electro equipment - by 18%, footwear - by 10.2%, pharmaceutical products - by 9.4%. Tanning and dressing of leather; manufacture of luggage, handbags, dressing and dyeing of furs decreased by 6.9%. Manufacture of rubber and plastics decreased by 0.8%. The energy sector showed decline of production by 6.2%. In particular, the supply of steam and hot water supply decreased by 9.1%, production and distribution of electricity - by 5%.
