In Geneva (Switzerland), the 14th session of Inter-Governmental Group of experts on competition law and policy UNCTAD (UN Conference on Trade and Development), Deputy Head of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia), Anatoly Golomolzin had a meeting with UNCTAD Deputy Secretary-General, Petko Draganov.

“This year UNCTAD celebrates its 50th anniversary. For many years FAS has had productive cooperation with one of the most authoritative organizations that brings countries together under UN aegis. The parties discussed certain issues of deepening and expanding cooperation”, pointed out Anatoly Golomolzin, “particularly, possibilities to sign the Memorandum of Understanding in the field of competition between FAS and UNCTAD, as well as joint participation in the Conferences organized by UNCTAD and FAS Russia in 2014.

Anatoly Golomolzin and Petko Draganov also discussed effect-oriented cooperation towards creating databases on UNCTAD platforms under the framework of International Working Groups operating upon initiatives of FAS and some other competition authorities.
