OREANDA-NEWS. A wheel diameter on large trucks hauling coal at Bogatyr coal mine exceeds an average height of an adult twice, the length of Caterpillar 16M motor graders working on maintaining roads at the coal mining enterprise is 12 meters, and the watering trucks participating in de-dusting coal faces and roads can contain up to 32 cubic meters of water. Despite the immense dimensions of their giant mechanisms under care, their operators perform various tricks with them, the witnesses of which were the audience and the jury members of Best in Profession-2014 competition devoted to Miner's Day.

Performing the S-turn at the best speed moving carefully among barrels-barriers, shifting glasses with a four-meter grading blade not dumping the supports and "shooting" a target located in 50 meters on one of the coal benches of Bogatyr coal mine from a watering truck making a gold - all of this did not make a big deal for the conquerors of "the iron mustangs". The drivers of the Technological Transport Department of Bogatyr coal mine have very good relations with vehicles.

The site for the competition evolved at the coal giant. Despite the summer heat last Friday burning both people and machinery, the competition participants - 23 people - were more than ever organized and determined. That is why, they demonstrated good theoretical knowledge having answered all the questions, and also excellent practical skills having made head or tail of the schemes of a competition assignment. Evaluating the entertaining tricks the jury members considered not only the speed, agility and mobility but also knowledge of safety rules for large truck operators, along with accuracy of assignment execution.

Among the competitors there were both experienced participants-winners of the internal and international competitions of past years Nikolay Mikhnev and Viktor Maltsev, and the new comers - Evgeny Polyakov and Andrey Khasanov. The work experience of BelAZ watering truck operator Evgeny - the youngest participant, who is just 23 years old - is not a year by now, but the guy decided to take a risk and …. became one of the holders of the honorable first prize in the specially approved nomination for employees under 29 years old. The skilful driving of the large-sized machinery seems to be in the blood of this young man. His father Gennady Polyakov works for Bogatyr Coal LLP as the automobile base driver.

- It is the first time when I participate in competitions. The impressions are indescribable. The organization of the competitions is excellent. So far I have not managed to do everything I wanted. But for the next competition I will improve my skills and reach a target set, - Evgeny said.

One more winner under 29 years old - the motor operator Sergey Kashtanov. Sergey, like Evgeny, followed in his father's steps - the motor grader from Bogatyr coal mine Nikolay Kashtanov. The representative of the labor dynasty of the enterprise the motor grader Evgeny Laptev - the son of the motor grader operator Valery Laptev - became the holder of the third prize in the competition. And Viktor Maltsev, who won the competition "gold", brought up a replacement for him. His son works in the Technological Transport Department as the Caterpillar-785C large truck operator.

In the competition there were the BelAZ watering truck driver Yury Zverev and BelAZ truck driver Vitaly Kobylchenko also leading. Nikolay Mikhnev became the best in the nomination of Caterpillar 777D truck drivers.

The winners and prize-winners received the letters of award, bouquets of flowers and valuable presents. The competitors, who took the first three places of the competition, received the traditional blue band with the "Best in Profession" sign and the gifts and memorable pennons. By the tradition, other competition participants were also awarded with some consolation prizes.
