OREANDA-NEWS.  July 21, 2014. Baltikums Bank has opened a representative office in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania. The bank intends to strengthen its cooperation with entrepreneurs in the Republic of Lithuania, providing advice on the bank’s products and services.

The representative office’s operations will be actively supported by specialists from Riga, providing full advisory and information service for value-added projects – a line of business that the representative office’s operations will be focusing on.

“Baltikums Bank feels rightfully proud of its many years of successful client service – not only of its custom approach to each matter, but also of providing efficient solutions in unusual situations, which is something that other financial institutions are not always able to offer. Therefore, the bank provides its clients with services that facilitate development of their business,” notes Jurijs Baltgailis, head of the Baltikums Bank representative office in Lithuania. “In this short span of time, we have confirmed that local entrepreneurs value the benefits brought by this kind of consulting: we have already been invited to consult for ten major projects,” Baltgailis adds.

Operations of the Baltikums Bank representative office in Vilnius will be particularly useful in financing and lending for trade transactions, for entrepreneurs that participate in interregional projects, such as cooperation between Lithuania and Belarus, Lithuania and Poland, Lithuania and Russia.

“We expect that some of the first clients to use our consulting services will be corporations and merchants engaged in international trade and service, financial institutions, medium and large businesses, as well as high net worth individuals,” Baltgailis elaborates.

Vilnius is the tenth city where Baltikums Bank is represented outside Latvia. The bank and its partners already maintain offices in Moscow and St. Petersburg, Kyiv, Almaty, Bishkek, Baku, Luxemburg and Limassol. The Lithuanian representative office is the second to open this year: since April, Baltikums Bank has also had a representative office in Tallinn.
