OREANDA-NEWS. Russian government delegation arrived at Aviacor Aviation plan on a working visit today. The purpose was to discuss perspectives of the Samar Region companies, particularly, Aviakor in Russian aerospace industry development.

The meeting at Aviakor was attended by Dmitry Rogozin, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Denis Manturov, the Minister for Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Anton Siluanov, the Minister for Finance of the Russian Federation, Oleg Ostapenko, Head of Roskosmos, Mikhail Babich, the Representative of the Russian President in the Privolzhie Federal District and Nikolay Merkushin, acting Deputy Governor of the Samara Region.

Delegation inspected the production facilities and visited Aviakor-Service, the aircraft maintenance centre, where such planes as TY-154B, TU-154M, An-140 and AN-74 are maintained. All in all, 36 planes are maintained and repaired by this centre every year. The delegation also got acquainted with the design and production competences of the companies.

Alexey Gusev, the General Director of Aviakor, made a report on technical capabilities and development perspectives of the company. Moreover, he proposed using the Bezymyanka field for low-cost interregional transportations during the 2018 FIFA World Cup inRussia. The Bezymyanka field has a unique air strip that is90 mwide and3.5 kmlong. Development of the Bezymyanka field will allow for "reduction of the peak load of the Kurumoch airport, new job establishment, and corporate state improvement.

Denis Manturov became interested in the project and ordered the Ministry specialist to assess the perspectives of its implementation.
