OREANDA-NEWS. EUROCEMENT group (No. 9 in global cement production / No. 1 in the CIS) signed a contract with China CAMC Engineering Co., Ltd (part of the SINOMACH group, one of the largest industrial groups in China) for the provision of equipment, designs, installation supervision and employee training worth 128 million US dollars for the construction of a new cement production plant using the energy-efficient and environmentally friendly dry method in the Tashkent Region in the Republic of Uzbekistan as part of the AKHANGARANCEMENT plant. The new plant's capacity will be 2.4 million tons of cement per year. The new plant is planned to launch in 2016.

The contract suggests the provision of the full range of equipment required to construct a new plant to produce cement using the dry method. In particular, mechanical equipment, furnaces, cyclone pre-heaters, grinders, mills, electrical and automatic equipment and monitoring and measuring devices.

The most modern cement manufacturing technologies will be applied within the project. Thanks to them, the energy efficiency of the new plant's manufacturing will double, its labor efficiency will be 3.5 times higher, and its influence on the surrounding environment will be 2.5 times lower (in comparison with standard values).

"The move to a new technological platform will take place without stopping our currently active production lines. Realizing the project to build a new plant to produce cement using the dry method will allow us to significantly improve the environmental situation in the region. The new plant will provide high quality cement for important state projects in the Republic of Uzbekistan to construct living accommodation and infrastructure", noted EUROCEMENT group President Mikhail Skorokhod.
