OREANDA-NEWS. July 25, 2014. The money transfer services offered by the BLIZKO Payment System operated by Sviaz-Bank (Vnesheconombank Group) are now available at Estonia’s ten biggest cities and rural communities – Tallinn, Narva, Paldiski, Parnu, Maardu, Tartu, Voru, Viljandi, Johvi, and Rakvere.

“We are registering consistent demand from our customers for transfers to be made to Estonia, and we can now offer this opportunity in cooperation with the Estonian Credit Bank, our longtime partner,” says Andrei Laikov, chief executive officer of the BLIZKO Payment System.

“The BLIZKO system is steering its old course of expanding its presence in all countries, far and near.”

In terms of money transfer traffic, Estonia is among the foremost countries of the Baltic region.

The new service allows money transfers to be made immediately in U.S. dollars and euros between Estonia and Russia, and between Russia and CIS and other countries without requiring the sender to open a bank account or give the recipient’s exact address.

Transfers are made between Russia and Estonia at a charge of 0.4% to 2%, depending on the amount sent, and it only takes a minute for a transfer to be made.

Today, the BLIZKO system also maintains a presence in Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, the Czech Republic, Mongolia, the United Kingdom, and Vietnam.
