OREANDA-NEWS. July 28, 2014. Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and European Integration Minister Natalia Gherman today met Israeli Tourism Minister Uzi Landau, on a working visit to Moldova, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s communication and media relations service has reported.

The officials welcomed holding the fourth meeting of the Moldovan-Israeli joint commission for economic cooperation, co-chaired by Uzi Landau, as a viable instrument meant to boost bilateral relations. In the context, Gherman stressed Moldova’s interest in cooperating with Israel in such sectors as: agriculture, tourism, energy efficiency, water management, telecommunication and IT, air transport, regional development and environment.

“The entrance into force of the provisions of the Moldova-EU Association Agreement, including the Free Trade Area, is the best guarantee for Israeli business people to invest in Moldova’s economy”, Gherman also said.

For his part, Uzi Landau reiterated support for Moldova’s European integration and willingness to further boost the bilateral economic relations.
