OREANDA-NEWS. July 28, 2014. "The list of state educational grant holders will be made public early August this year," Education and Science Vice Minister of Kazakhstan Takir Balykbayev told a briefing at the Central Communications Service in Astana.

According to him, this year the Government provides 34,165 educational grants. The record number of 12,000 scholarships is offered this year for engineering occupation, 5,864 for teacher training specialties and 2,650 study grants for majoring in agriculture and veterinary science at 69 higher educational establishments across Kazakhstan.

"Kazakhstan provides 270 educational grants for foreign school graduates," Takir Balykbayev said.

Besides, Kazakhstan offers 200 study grants for Turkic-speaking countries at the Yassawi University, 125 scholarships for Kazakhstanis to study at the affiliate of the Lomonosov Moscow State University, 550 grants to study at Nazarbayev University, 25 scholarships for Mongolia to get education at the East Kazakhstan State University and 54 for Afghanistan citizens.
