OREANDA-NEWS. Belarus' exports of fresh and chilled beef grew 4.1% year on year in January-May 2014 to USD 190.357 million, Belarus' National Statistical Committee (Belstat) said in an official report.

In physical terms, fresh beef exports grew 10.7% year on year to 44,400 tonnes. Exports of frozen beef reduced by 40.1% to USD 59.700 million in value terms; in physical terms - 15,300 tonnes, down 41.3%.

Export of meat and poultry meat grew 4.8% to USD 95.947 million; in physical terms - 48,100 tonnes, up 11.6%.

Sausage exports reduced 31.4% to 20,400 tonnes; in value terms - USD 72.456 million, down 33.35%.

Exports of ready-made or prefabricated meat products reduced 44.6% to 6,248 tonnes worth USD 31.273 million (down 55.6%).

Pork exports reduced 82.9% to 3,791 tonnes worth USD 13.958 million (down 78.5%).
