OREANDA-NEWS. Belarus imposed a ban on the import of pork from the Russian region of Voronezh, the department of veterinary and food supervision of the Belarusian Ministry of Agriculture said in a statement.

The move was prompted by the information about confirmed cases of African swine fever in Voronezh.

Belarus has banned import and transit of live hogs, pork, including meat of wild boar, by-products, leather, offal products, hunting trophies obtained from the susceptible species of animals, feed made from raw materials originating from Russia's Voronezh.

Early this year Belarus introduced a similar ban on imports of pork and live pigs from Russia's Pskov, Kaluga and Smolensk.
