OREANDA-NEWS. On July 24-25, Henry Ljung, CEO of Uppsala Data & Mjukvara Ltd. (Sweden), paid a visit to the Belarusian universal commodity exchange (BUCE) to discuss further cooperation and joint projects.

During the talks with BUCE administration, the sides summed up the results of the International business forum in Stockholm arranged by BUCE, its partners and Uppsala Data & Mjukvara Ltd. According to the Swedish businessman, the Forum served as a powerful incentive for the development of trade and economic cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and Sweden. The high level of this event not only confirmed the seriousness of BUCE's intensions to expand into the Scandinavian region but had a positive effect on the image of the commodity exchange and the Republic of Belarus in general. Henry Ljung also noted that thanks to the Forum a number of major Swedish timber traders voiced interest in buying wood products using BUCE's electronic platforms.

Apart from that, the participants of the meeting analyzed the current results of implementation of the bilateral Cooperation Agreement, accreditation procedure for foreign companies as well as further measures to attract Scandinavian businesses interested in using electronic and exchange trade instruments for import and export of various commodities.
