Eesti Energia announced an open competition to replace its outgoing chairman of the board, Sandor Liive, whose term expires in November.

Liive has been chairman of the board since 2005, presiding over a period that saw many key events - international projects in the American state of Utah and the country of Jordan, as well as deregulation of the domestic energy market and the laying of power cables to the Nordics.

His successor, according to the job description announced by the company, requires a master's level university degree, with six years of senior management experience, and experience in international organizations or projects.

The competition is being carried out by the headhunting firm Ariko Reserv. The deadline for a CV and letter of motivation is August 11.
