OREANDA-NEWS. On 1 August 2014, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry will launch e-visa service, which will allow the applicant for short-stay visa in Moldova to draft file online, by accessing - www.evisa.gov.md, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s communication and media relations service has reported.

The e-visa is equivalent to the traditional visa and represents a printed authorization, which gives the foreigner the right to enter Moldova through any border crossing point. To get visa, the applicant will fill in an application in electronic format and will attach the necessary set of documents. If the application is approved, the person will pay visa fee by bank card and will receive electronic visa to the e-mail.

The e-visa facilitates to get visa by foreigners residing in the countries, where there are no diplomatic missions or consular offices of Moldova, thus canceling the obligatory presence at the office.

The project brings an important contribution in the tourism and business sector. Foreigners are to benefit from an efficient, convenient, fast and safe service. The e-visa service is part of the e-transformation project, backed by the World Bank and implemented via the E-Government Centre.
