OREANDA-NEWS. TGC-1 is reporting its operating results for the first half of 2014.

The production volume of electricity generated by the company's enterprises, including JSC Murmanskaya CHPP, reached 13,889 million kWh over the 6 months of 2014, which is 15.2% lower than the figures for the same period of 2013. The sales volume of electricity reduced by 18.3% over the 6 months of 2014 to 15,342 million kWh.

Reduction of electricity output over the 6 months of 2014 is due to the continuous decrease of electricity demand on the day-ahead market, and low water levels of the plants which belong to the Kolskiy Branch.

During the reporting period the hydro-generation decreased by 12.2% to 5,873 million kWh. CHPP generation decreased by 17.2% to 8,016 million kWh, however, the growth of new CCGT generation by 9.9% shows a shift from loading the old production facilities to new high-efficient generation facilities. New units' output amounted to 3,285 million kWh which is 23.7% of total TGC-1's output, or 41.0% of CHPP generation.

Operations of new efficient production facilities resulted in reduction of average specific fuel consumption used in electricity output over 6 months of 2014 by 5.4% to 262.2 g/kWh.

The utilization ratio for installed electric capacity as a whole for TGC-1 was recorded at 44.2%, 7.6 percentage points lower than the figure for 6 months of 2013.

The production volume of heat supplied by the company's enterprises, including JSC Murmanskaya CHPP, reached 13,791.5 thousand Gcal over 6 months of 2014, which is 10.1% lower than the figures for the same period of 2013.
