OREANDA-NEWS. EUROCEMENT group's new high-tech plant in Podgorensky, Voronezh region, was awarded a certificate for meeting the quality management system requirements of ISO 9001:2008 in respect of production, shipment, packaging, and transportation of cement. Passing this certification serves as confirmation that the enterprise complies with global requirements for product quality.

The pre-certification body Russian Register (internationally accredited by the Dutch Accreditation Council RvA) conducted an audit to confirm that the quality management system at the new EUROCEMENT group plant meets the requirements of ISO 9001-2008 in regard to the following processes: "Product issuance planning", "Consumer-related processes", "Purchases", "Production and maintenance", "Managing monitoring and measurement equipment". This test was preceded by an internal audit conduct by the plant's specialists, as well as a pre-certification audit.

High quality products are the key to EUROCEMENT group's success. The Holding constantly invests in promising research in this area, buying the most modern laboratory equipment to test the quality of its products according to European standards.

At the new cement plant, which is one of the most environmentally friendly, energy-efficient, and technologically advanced ones in Russia, quality control is continuously monitored, starting with mining and finishing with shipping the finished products to the customer. In particular, technical regulations that are strictly abided by are in place at each EUROCEMENT group plant. The high quality of all cements produced by EUROCEMENT group is confirmed by certificates issued by the voluntary certification system.

The new facility includes a fully automated laboratory equipped with equipment from the Danish company FLSmidth, the leading supplier for the global cement industry. The use of automated systems in the laboratory allows the quality of sample selection and sample preparation to be substantially increased, which is one of the most important conditions to ensuring a high quality product.
