OREANDA-NEWS. MIKHAILOVCEMENT, part of EUROCEMENT group, showed a steady increase in all of its performance indicators during the first half of the year. During January-June 2014 the company produced 586,220 tons of clinker (semi-finished products for cement production) and 737,200 tons of high quality, environmentally friendly cement, which is 19.9% (97,320 tons) and 18% (112,200 tons) higher than the same period last year.

In June 2014 alone, 126,400 tons of clinker and 154,000 tons of cement were produced. These indicators are 11.2% (12,700 tons) and 33.9% (39,000 tons) higher than those for June 2013.

In the first half of 2014, MIKHAILOVCEMENT delivered 743,900 tons of cement to its customers, which is 14.6% (94,748 tons) higher than the same period last year. In June 2014, 142,039 tons of ready products were delivered, a 21.9% increase over June 2013.

The vast majority of the total volume produced was CEM II/A-S 32,5R. In June, 93,131 tons of this type of cement were produced, and in the six-month period, 426,480, which represent 27.4% and 22.1% increases over the same periods last year, respectively. In this context, the greatest increase in demand was observed for the award-winning CEM I 42,5 N cement. In June 2014, 34,606 tons of this type of cement were produced, and in the six-month period, 167,150. These figures represent year-over-year increases of 150.8% (20,810 tons) and 38.7% (46,665 tons), respectively.

By developing its own quarry, the plant was able to keep operations running smoothly. Over the course of the first half of 2014, 748,200 tons of limestone and 267,900 tons of clay were mined, which is 15.6% and 27.8% higher than last year, respectively.
