OREANDA-NEWS. The InnoTrans international trade fair will take place from 23rd until 26th of September 2014.

The InnoTrans trade fair covers such important topics as Rail Transport Structure, Railway Technology, Railway Infrastructure, Rolling Stock Interior Equipment, Public Transport and Tunnel Construction.

The main focus is the presentation of modern rail rolling stock models, scientific and technological achievements in the field of rail transport and transport equipment, as well as systems of urban and suburban transport, long-distance transport. As the industry's leading trade fair, it is also a media event of particular interest both for manufacturing companies and eventual clients in passenger and freight transportation.

The shunter TME3, developed by Belarusian Railways as a joint venture with the Czech company CZ LOKO JSC at the locomotive depot Lida, will be on display for the first time at the exhibition in 2014.

Manufacturing of biaxial TME3 locomotives is provided on the basis of the investment project "Modernization and production of shunting locomotives in Belarus. The primary use of ТМЭ3 is shunting operations on public tracks and house tracks with a rail gage of 1520 mm.

Components and fittings used in the construction of TME3, meet the highest standards regarding environment, health protection of operating personnel and operational safety.

The project will allow the Belarusian Railway to renew its shunting locomotive fleet, which is being operated on the Belarusian railway and house tracks of domestic enterprises, as well as to cut operational and maintenance costs for diesel-powered locomotives. Furthermore, using the TME3 will improve working conditions for foot-plate staff and provide security of shunting operations.

Also as part of the visit to the exhibition, the Belarusian Railway delegation is planning to hold series of meetings with foreign Railway Equipment Manufacturers such as the Poland-based PESA Bydgoszcz SA, the Swiss-basedStadler Rail Group , the Czech-based CZ LOKO a.s , the Germany-based Siemens and others.
