OREANDA-NEWS. August 13, 2014. The international financial magazine Global Finance has picked SEB Internet Bank as Estonia’s best. Winners were identified by a prestigious jury, which gave SEB high marks for its high level of customer service and wide range of Internet bank services.

“This is great recognition for the bank, since the Internet Bank is the customer service channel that our customers use most. SEB Internet Bank has more than 300 000 active users per month. On average, there are 3 million log-ins or visits to SEB Internet Bank every month, with more than 15 million transfers completed via the Internet Bank since the beginning of this year. Increasingly, tablets and smartphones are being used for the performance of banking services – currently 40 000 times a month, with the figure rising approximately 8 per cent every month. This is definitely supported by the new the on-screen display of SEB Internet Bank, which adapts to various mobile devices automatically. As a result, sophisticated banking services are available for SEB clients everywhere there is at least mobile coverage,” noted Eerika Vaikmae-Koit, SEB Board Member and Head of Retail Banking and Technology.

Economic analysts, heads of organisations and consultants in the banking sector participated in the selection of winners. Selection of the best Internet bank placed a premium on how many services that provide real benefits may be used by a customer via the Internet channel, how actively customers are using that which the bank offers and what the design and functionality of the Internet bank are like.

This is the fifteenth time that the Best Internet Bank Award has been conferred by Global Finance. An award equivalent to that of SEB Estonia was also earned by SEB Latvia, for the second year in a row.
